Aleksandr Tiulkanov specializes in translating AI regulations into actionable governance strategies. Through his independent consultancy, Responsible Innovations, he supports public and private sector clients in aligning their AI and data practices with evolving regulatory frameworks — including the EU AI Act, ISO 42001, and emerging international standards.
He has built governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tooling for AI platforms — leading to product conformity certifications — and advised corporate clients on legal, privacy, and compliance issues across the AI system lifecycle. His training programs, including a 4-week EU AI Act course for professionals and tailored briefings for executives, equip teams to navigate regulatory complexity with clarity and precision.
Internationally, Aleksandr has contributed to digital and AI policy for the World Bank (Digital CASA project), provided AI regulatory analysis for a G7 government, and drafted reform proposals for UNCITRAL legal instruments on electronic commerce and AI. He regularly contributes to AI standards development through CEN/CENELEC JTC 21 and AFNOR, and plays an active role in policy event design and facilitation.
