CRISTINA LUNGHI
Founder of Arborus & Architect of the International Charter for Inclusive AI. Ph.D in European Law.
Cristina is the Summit’s godmother, contributing to the AI Playbook with a reflection based on her work as founder of Arborus and architect of the world’s first Ethical AI Charter. With a Ph.D. in European Law and global recognition in gender equality, she also created the GEEIS-AI Label, certifying companies driving Responsible AI. Her commitment to inclusive innovation gives the summit both authority and vision. Cristina Lunghi is an internationally recognized expert in gender equality and the founder of Arborus, a pioneering NGO established in 1995 to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Over more than 30 years, she has championed equality at both corporate and policy levels, collaborating with governments, global institutions, and multinational corporations. She is the architect of the Gender Equality European and International Standard (GEEIS), a certification audited by Bureau Veritas and TÜV Rheinland and implemented by leading companies in over 56 countries. She also launched GEEIS-Diversity and the GEEIS-SDG Trophy, initiatives aligning corporate diversity strategies with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2020, Cristina partnered with Orange Group to launch the International Charter for Inclusive AI, under the patronage of the French Digital Secretary of State, Generation Equality – UN Women, and CEDAW-UN. This global charter provides a clear ethical framework for organizations developing and deploying AI, ensuring inclusivity, human rights, and accountability remain central. At the AI ON US Summit, Cristina will lead the signature ceremony of the International Charter for Inclusive AI — a defining moment of the event. Companies present will be invited to formalize their commitment to building ethical, trustworthy, and inclusive AI systems. This commitment will flow directly into the Creative Sprint, where participants will have 2.5 hours to prototype real-world solutions addressing AI risks and societal impacts, transforming values into tangible innovation. Cristina’s leadership and legacy anchor the Summit’s mission: to go beyond conversation and drive responsible, inclusive AI development through action, impact, and global collaboration.
