Will Rivera brings frontline expertise in digital safety, AI ethics, and survivor justice. As Managing Director of My Own Image, he leads legislative and policy efforts to combat tech-facilitated violence, while driving inclusive, rights-based approaches to AI governance.
Will Rivera is a leading voice in the fight for ethical, inclusive, and survivor-centered technology. As Managing Director of My Own Image (www.myownimage.org), he spearheads policy reform, education, and advocacy efforts to address technology-facilitated gender-based violence and image-based sexual abuse. His work led to the successful passage of landmark legislation in Arkansas (2025), modernizing the criminal code to hold perpetrators accountable and protect survivors from digital exploitation.
In parallel, Will serves as Director of the Gender-Based Violence Prevention Branch at Community for a Cause, where he develops tech accountability strategies focused on women, LGBTQ+ communities, and other historically marginalized groups.
A recognized expert in AI ethics and digital safety, Will is also a member of the Cybersecurity Advisors Network (CyAN) and a 2025 participant in the AI Safety Fundamentals on AI Governance program — a global initiative building actionable safeguards against bias, disinformation, and harm in AI systems.
At AI ON US, Will plays a key role across the Ethical AI and Trust & Safety teams, contributing hands-on experience to the summit’s strategic sessions and immersive workshops. His approach ensures that AI innovation is always grounded in equity, survivor justice, and human dignity.
