Jakub Kubalski is a seasoned intellectual property and technology lawyer, currently serving as a Partner at SSW. He brings over a decade of experience advising clients in the gaming, advertising, film, television, and e-commerce sectors, with deep expertise at the intersection of IP law and emerging technologies.
Jakub has represented clients before numerous regulatory and judicial bodies, including the Antitrust and Consumer Protection Authority (UOKiK), Office for Telecommunications (UKE), Data Protection Authority (UODO), the Polish and European Patent Offices, and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), where he is a certified professional representative. He also contributes to global IP resolution as a Neutral Expert for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), offering his expertise in mediation and arbitration on complex tech-related disputes.
In addition to his client work, Jakub lectures on computer games and e-sports law at the School of New Technologies Law, organized by the Hugo Grotius Intellectual Property Rights Centre. Over the years, he has advised leading global companies on matters related to IP, AI use, porting agreements, licensing, and marketing strategies.
At AI ON US, Jakub plays a dual role: he contributes to both the Innovation & Culture Team and the Trust and Safety Team. He helps deliver practical insights into how AI can be leveraged ethically, creatively, and safely — particularly in brand communication and digital storytelling. His unique legal background allows him to address the regulatory, reputational, and creative challenges companies face when integrating AI into consumer-facing experiences.
