He has worked extensively on the legal and ethical implications of AI spyware systems like Pegasus, at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, exposing risks to human rights and democratic governance. His insights come from direct policy work with the Congress of the Republic of Peru, where he advised on AI regulation, data privacy, and responsible tech deployment.
Renzo also serves as International Director of Constitutional Law at ODM (Organización Democrática Mundial por el Desarrollo) and as Advisor to CIED’s Secretariat of Academic Affairs at the National University San Antonio Abad of Cusco, advancing legal education and democratic reform across Latin America.
At the AI ON US Summit, Renzo contributes his dual expertise in tech policy and digital safety, enriching the conversation with critical regional insights from South America. His mission aligns perfectly with AI ON US’s commitment to global inclusion, human rights, and regulatory foresight in AI development.
💬 “AI must be built within frameworks that protect freedom, privacy, and dignity — especially in regions where those rights are most vulnerable.” — Renzo Díaz Giunta
